Overview¶

Landing Zone is a managed Ed-Fi ODS provided by InnovateEDU.

Landing Zone customers: This documentation is meant to help you understand the data we pull from your respective vendors as well as where we put that data in your Ed-Fi ODS.
Community Licensees: This documentation is meant to help you stand up an Ed-Fi ODS in your infrastructure. We’ll explain how we implement Apache Airflow via Google Composer, the data orchestration tool that we use to move data between a district’s source systems and the ODS.

Note

There are a few things you must have before you can start building your own Landing Zone. Prior to digging into further documentation, ensure you have a Google Cloud project with billing enabled and an Ed-Fi license with GitHub access.

Getting started¶

Before you can start moving data around, you will need to implement the Ed-Fi technology suite and Apache Airflow.
